Henry Holland’s “Scottish” Design
Henry Holland, 27, is a newcomer in British fashion world whose first solo show has been held at London fashion week in 2008. Few months after it, he got an award from Scottish Fashion Awards, for the best Use of Tartan, beating those “Ralph Laurent” and “Dolce and Gabbana”.
Since then, his label “House of Holland” become popular and nowadays it is worn by popular celebrities like Rihanna and Lindsey Lohan. This year, apparently he comes again with his Scottish theme for the next Fashion Week. He may attempt for the award again this year.
Henry Holland, whose originally from Ramsbottom, Lancashire, is actually has no roots of Scottish. He insisted that he loves Scottish history and its culture of fabrics industry. He used to apply Scottish heritage fabrics for his last designs, and now onward, he is going to use the same heritage fabrics for his current designs.
Henry is currently managing his new store in Debenhams, “H” by Henry Holland, which has been targeting for youngsters. The age range for the store is a little younger than Henry’s own label but he is surely about achieving a middle ground between high level of design and high fashion, with a reachable price point.

Tattoo Fashion, Rihanna’s Rebelle Fleur Neck Tattoo
Tattoo Fashion, Pop Star Rihanna is back in news and this time it is not for any song but for her tattoo. Rihanna has recently got a new dumb neck tattoo. The tattoo on her neck reads “Rebelle Fleur”. Those who noticed her new tattoo said that instead of “Rebelle Fleur”, the tattoo should read “Fleur Rebelle”.
For those of you who wish to know the meaning of “Rebelle Fleur”, it means in English, “rebellious flower”. However, in French, it should be Fleur Rebelle”. Many internet sites have claimed that Rihanna’s new neck tattoo is totally, gibberish, just because she has got the wrong French phrasing.
When, Rihanna was asked about her strange neck tattoo, she said that it was not a mistake and it is what she wanted from her tattoo artist, Keith. According to Rihanna, “rebelled fleur” means rebel flower not rebellious flower and that’s what she wanted as a tattoo on her neck, so why such a hue and cry about it.
It seems that Rihanna knows French well and is ready to answer all those who are making fun of her new neck tattoo. Overall, whatever, the tattoo is all about; it has surely brought instant publicity for Rihanna.
